You Can Now Trade-In Your Old Car Seat at Target for a Discounted New One
As if there wasn't enough to love about Target already, the superstore just came out with a game changing announcement. If you bring your used car seat to Target anytime from Monday, April 17 through Sunday, April 30, you'll receive 20% off your in-store or online purchase of any of their car seats though May 31.
The deal is part of a partnership between Target and Terracycle, which focuses on finding solutions for hard-to-recycle waste, in honor of Earth day on April 22. The idea is to ensure parents are using a car seat that is the appropriate size for their child while also eliminating the amount of car seat materials in landfills. Target expects to recycle more than 700,000 pounds of car seat
According to an article from Fox 31 Denver, shoppers can find the recycle bins either in the baby section or near the front of the store. From there, they can locate a team member to get their 20% off coupon.
After successfully testing the program in 90 stores in September, Target decided to expand the program to most stores across the company and we couldn't be more excited. Safety for kidsandrecycling: we're totally on board for both.
